Michelle Horton
Michelle Horton is a writer and advocate living in New York's Hudson Valley with her son, nephew, and niece. She is the author of "Dear Sister: A Memoir of Secrets, Survival, and Unbreakable Bonds," which details the events surrounding her sister Nikki Addimando's incarceration for killing her abusive partner. Horton is a co-founder of the Nicole Addimando Community Defense Committee, an advocacy group that raises awareness about the criminalization of domestic violence survivors and promotes activism for change. She continues to speak out on behalf of victims of domestic violence who are criminalized for acts of survival.
