Robert Hough
Robert Hough (born 1963) is a Canadian novelist and former magazine journalist. Born in Toronto, he graduated from Queen's University in 1985 and wrote for publications including Toronto Life and Saturday Night before publishing his first novel, The Final Confession of Mabel Stark (2001). His books — which often blend rigorous research with narrative-driven, character-focused storytelling — have been shortlisted for prizes such as the Commonwealth Writers' Prize, the Trillium Book Award, the Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize and the Governor General's Award. He lives in Toronto and is the author of multiple novels including The Stowaway, The Culprits, Dr. Brinkley's Tower, Anarchists in Love, The Man Who Saved Henry Morgan, and The Marriage of Rose Camilleri (ISBN 9781771623049).
