Nicholas Bethell

Nicholas William Bethell, 4th Baron Bethell (1938–2007) was a British politician, historian of Central and Eastern Europe, translator, and human rights activist. He served in the House of Lords and as a Member of the European Parliament. He was well-known for his work on human rights in the Soviet Union and his translations of Russian and Polish literature.
