Thomas Mallon
Thomas Mallon is an American novelist, essayist, and critic, widely recognized for his historical fiction that often focuses on the 'bystanders' to major historical events. He is a professor emeritus of English at The George Washington University and a former literary editor of GQ. His work has appeared in publications such as The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and The New York Times Book Review. He has also served in government roles, including Deputy Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
