Louis Bayard

Louis Bayard is an American author and journalist known for his critically acclaimed historical novels. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and raised in Northern Virginia, he graduated from Princeton University and earned a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Before focusing on his writing career, he worked as a congressional staffer. His works, which often blend historical figures with mystery and suspense, have been translated into over a dozen languages and include titles such as The Pale Blue Eye, Mr. Timothy, and Jackie & Me. He has taught fiction writing at George Washington University and is a former chair of the PEN/Faulkner Awards.
