Dr. Muriel James (born Muriel Marshall) was a psychotherapist, licensed marriage and family counselor, international workshop leader and author best known as coauthor of the bestselling self-help classic Born to Win: Transactional Analysis with Gestalt Experiments (1971). A past president of the International Transactional Analysis Association, she popularized transactional analysis and the concept of self-reparenting and wrote widely on personal growth, multicultural organizations and spirituality.
