Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D., is an American psychiatrist, Jungian analyst, and author, known for her work on archetypal psychology, women's issues, and the intersection of psychology and spirituality. She has written numerous influential books, including 'Goddesses in Everywoman' and 'The Tao of Psychology,' which have been translated into many languages and are used as university texts. Bolen has also been an activist for women's rights and social change, advocating for initiatives like a UN 5th World Conference on Women. She co-founded 'Psychic' magazine (later 'New Realities') and has been featured in several documentaries.
