Brian D. McLaren is an American author, speaker, activist, and public theologian. A former college English teacher and founding pastor of Cedar Ridge Community Church, he is a prominent figure in the emerging church movement and a passionate advocate for a progressive, inclusive approach to Christian faith. He is a faculty member at the Center for Action and Contemplation.
