David Brin
Glen David Brin (born October 6, 1950) is an American science-fiction author and scientist known for the Uplift series, Startide Rising, The Postman, Earth, and numerous essays on transparency, privacy, and the future. Trained in astronomy and space physics, Brin has worked as a researcher and consultant for NASA and is a frequent speaker on space exploration and emerging technologies. He has won multiple major genre awards including the Hugo, Nebula, and Locus Awards.
