Orson Scott Card

Orson Scott Card (born August 24, 1951) is an American novelist, critic, and essayist best known for his science fiction works, particularly Ender's Game and the Ender series. He has written across genres including science fiction, fantasy, horror, and historical fiction. Card has won multiple major genre awards (including Hugo and Nebula Awards), taught writing, run writers' workshops, and maintained the long-running author website Hatrack. He has also served as a judge for Writers of the Future and held academic appointments teaching creative writing.
