Frank Herbert

Frank Herbert (1920–1986) was an American science fiction author best known for Dune (1965), an influential epic that blends ecology, politics, religion, and philosophy. Herbert wrote novels, short fiction, and journalism over a career spanning several decades and is widely regarded as one of the most important SF writers of the 20th century.
