James S. A. Corey is the pen name used by the collaborative writing duo Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. They are best known for their critically acclaimed, Hugo Award-winning science fiction series, The Expanse, which was also adapted into a television series. The pseudonym was created by combining Abraham's middle name, Franck's middle name, and the initials of Abraham's daughter.
