Suzanne Collins (born August 10, 1962) is an American author and television writer best known for the young-adult dystopian trilogy The Hunger Games and the children’s fantasy series The Underland Chronicles. She began her career writing for children’s television before publishing novels; her work often explores themes of war, survival, and social inequality. Collins has also written picture books and a Hunger Games prequel, and several of her novels have been adapted into major films.
