Soman Chainani is an American author and filmmaker best known for The School for Good and Evil series, a bestselling middle-grade/young-adult fantasy franchise that has been adapted for film. He grew up in Key Biscayne, Florida, studied English and American Literature at Harvard University and later attended Columbia University's film program. His work includes the School for Good and Evil novels and the short-story collection Beasts & Beauty.
