Ally Condie is an American author best known for her #1 New York Times bestselling dystopian young adult trilogy, Matched. A former high school English teacher, she holds a B.A. in English Teaching from Brigham Young University and an M.F.A. in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She has written across multiple genres, including young adult, middle grade, and adult fiction, and is the founder of the WriteOut Foundation, a non-profit that runs writing camps for rural teens.
