Sophie Irwin is an English historical romance novelist known for her Regency-era novels. Born in Dorset, she studied English at Mansfield College, Oxford, where she wrote her dissertation on Georgette Heyer. Before becoming a full-time author, she worked in the publishing industry. Her debut novel, 'A Lady's Guide to Fortune-Hunting', was a Sunday Times bestseller and won an Alex Award.
