Marilyn Lorraine "Lynn" Abbey (born September 18, 1948) is an American fantasy author best known for co-editing and contributing to the shared-world anthology series Thieves' World and for novels set in established RPG universes (including TSR's Dark Sun and Forgotten Realms). She began publishing in 1979 with Daughter of the Bright Moon and the short story "The Face of Chaos," and has also written tie-in novels such as The Simbul's Gift and Dark Sun novels like The Brazen Gambit and The Rise and Fall of a Dragon King. Abbey has worked as an editor and continues to be active in fantasy fandom and related projects.
