Lindee Climo
Lindee Climo was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1948. She moved to Canada in 1970 and has been exhibiting her work since 1975. Climo grew up in California, where she bred and exhibited livestock. She became a self-taught artist, initially focusing on animals, before studying medical illustration. After graduation, she traveled the world, creating ink drawings. She met her first husband during her travels and moved to New Brunswick, his home province. Later, they moved to Prince Edward Island, where she established herself as an international artist. Climo now lives and works in Nova Scotia. Her work is known for its finely rendered farm animals depicted in compositions inspired by Old Renaissance Masters. Her animal subjects are often imbued with the depth and personality of human counterparts.
