
Donna Cooner
Donna Cooner is an American author and a professor of education at Colorado State University. She was born and raised in Lake Jackson, Texas, and is a three-time graduate of Texas A&M University. Cooner began her writing career as a teacher and later wrote for the PBS television show "Barney & Friends" and its spin-off books. After publishing over 20 children's books, she transitioned to nonfiction before returning to creative writing with her debut young adult novel, "Skinny," in 2012. Her work often explores themes of identity, self-doubt, and the challenges faced by teenagers. She currently lives in Fort Collins, Colorado.
