Susan Fletcher is a British novelist born in Birmingham in 1979. She studied English Literature at the University of York and later completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. Her debut novel, 'Eve Green' (2004), won multiple awards including the Whitbread First Novel Award and the Betty Trask Prize. Fletcher's work spans literary fiction, historical fiction, and young adult novels. She has also worked as a cheesemonger, a warden for an archaeological excavation site, and has been a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at the University of Worcester. Her novels often explore themes of memory, sisterhood, and the natural world. She lives in Stratford-upon-Avon, England.
