Lisa Jewell (born 19 July 1968) is a British author of popular fiction, best known for psychological and domestic thrillers such as The Family Upstairs and Then She Was Gone. She began her career writing romantic comedies (her debut Ralph's Party was a bestselling debut) and later moved into suspense and psychological fiction. Her novels have sold millions of copies worldwide and have been translated into numerous languages.
