M. M. Chouinard
M.M. Chouinard, whose given name is Michelle Chouinard, is a USA Today, Publishers Weekly, and Amazon Charts bestselling author known for her crime fiction, including suspense, procedurals, and cozies, as well as women's fiction. Her first story was published in her local paper at age eight, and she developed a love for Agatha Christie novels shortly after. While pursuing a Ph.D. in psychology and helping to establish the first U.S. research university of the new millennium, the University of California, Merced, she began writing the stories that had been percolating in her mind. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and often features strong female protagonists in her work. Chouinard also has a background in academia, having been a founding faculty member at UC Merced. She enjoys coffee, amateur genealogy, baking, and has a fondness for Halloween and the zombie apocalypse.
