C. J. Cooke

C. J. Cooke is an award-winning poet and novelist, also known as Carolyn Jess-Cooke. She holds a PhD in Literature and teaches creative writing at the University of Glasgow, where she researches the impact of motherhood on women's writing and creative writing interventions for mental health. Her work has been published in 23 languages and has received critical acclaim and award nominations. She writes about motherhood, mental illness, memory, and trauma, with her fiction often categorized as feminist gothic and/or psychological suspense.
