He is a member of the Gwawaenuk Nation and founder of Indigenous Corporate Training Inc. His writing focuses on educating readers about Indigenous history, culture, and rights in Canada, aiming to promote understanding and respectful engagement. He is also a hereditary chief, with the chief name K'axwsumala'galis.
