Colleen AF Venable is an author, designer, and maker of graphic novels and children's books. She is known for the National Book Award Longlisted graphic novel "Kiss Number 8" and the "Katie the Catsitter" series. Venable previously worked as a designer for First Second Books and as a Creative Director for Workman and Macmillan. She is also an avid rollerskater and animal rescuer.
