Charise Mericle Harper

Charise Mericle Harper is an author and illustrator of more than fifty children’s books, including picture books, early readers, chapter books, and graphic novels. Her work includes the Just Grace series, the Fashion Kitty series, the Crafty Cat books, and picture books such as When I Grow Up, Cupcake, and Wedgieman. A former comic-strip creator, Harper’s playful, folk-art–inspired illustrations and kid-centric voice have made her a frequent school-visit presenter and a familiar name to librarians and caregivers.
