Shannon Hale

Shannon Hale is an American author best known for young adult and middle-grade fantasy and for children’s books, including the Princess Academy series, The Goose Girl, and the Princess in Black books (often co-written with Dean Hale). Her work spans YA fantasy, middle-grade fiction, picture books, and graphic novel formats, and she is noted for strong female protagonists and fairy-tale retellings.
