Tami Charles

Tami Charles (often published as Tami Charles) is an American author of more than twenty books for children and young adults. A former elementary school teacher and briefly a member of an R&B trio in her youth, she is best known for picture books and middle-grade/YA novels that center Black joy, identity, and affirmation. Her notable titles include All Because You Matter, Like Vanessa, Muted, and We Are Here. Charles is a New York Times bestselling author and regularly visits schools and literary events across the U.S.
