Alison James
Alison James is an author and illustrator who has been writing and translating books for children since 1990. She has lived in many countries, including Japan, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Pakistan, and Taiwan. She studied languages and literature as an undergraduate and holds a graduate degree in Children's Literature. She has also completed the Professional Program in Screenwriting from UCLA. Her work spans picture books, novels for young adults, and translations. She is also known for her crime and thriller novels, drawing inspiration from her experience as a criminal paralegal. She has been shortlisted for the McIlvanney crime fiction prize and has topped bestseller charts in the UK, USA, and Australia. Alison James also creates art, including watercolors, fiber art, and printmaking, often inspired by nature and storytelling.
