Her first novel, "Les gens heureux lisent et boivent du café" (Happy People Read and Drink Coffee), was self-published on Kindle in December 2012 and became an immediate success. It was then picked up by a traditional publisher, leading to translations in multiple languages and plans for a Hollywood film adaptation. As of 2017, her novels had sold two million copies worldwide, and by 2023, her works had sold over 5 million copies in France and abroad. She is known for her novels that explore themes of love, grief, reconstruction, and personal resilience.
