Aparna Verma

Aparna Verma is an author of fantasy and sci-fi books, known for "The Ravence Trilogy." She was born in Rajasthan, India, and immigrated to the United States at the age of two. Verma graduated from Stanford University with Honors in the Arts and a B.A. in English. Her debut novel, "The Boy with Fire," was self-published in 2021 and later republished by Orbit Books as "The Phoenix King" in 2023. Her work often draws inspiration from Indian mythology and aims to feature strong South Asian characters. When not writing, she enjoys activities like lifting weights, dancing to Bollywood music, and reading myths.
