Jane Mount

Jane Mount is an artist, illustrator, designer, and writer known for her paintings of bookshelves and her work for bibliophiles. She founded Ideal Bookshelf in 2008, a company that creates book-inspired gifts. Mount is the author and illustrator of several books, including 'Bibliophile: An Illustrated Miscellany' and 'Books Make Good Friends,' and co-author and illustrator of 'Bibliophile: Diverse Spines' and 'My Ideal Bookshelf.' She was born in Atlanta, raised in Manhattan, and currently lives in a log cabin on Maui with her husband and pets. She studied anthropology at Davidson College and co-founded internet companies in her earlier career. Her work has been featured in publications like The New Yorker and The Paris Review.
