Stuart M. Kaminsky
Stuart M. Kaminsky (September 29, 1934 – October 9, 2009) was an American mystery novelist and film professor. He wrote more than sixty novels, including long-running series featuring private investigator Toby Peters, Moscow inspector Porfiry Rostnikov, Chicago detective Abe Lieberman, and Florida process server Lew Fonesca. Kaminsky also authored film biographies and taught film studies at Northwestern University and Florida State University. He won the Edgar Award for Best Novel (1989) for A Cold Red Sunrise and was named a Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America in 2006.
