Shadow of the Beast

Deep into the trackless mountain forests of the Northwest, a group of fourteen people—including a man who never met a woman he could not conquer, a woman who refused to be mastered, and a teen-aged boy longing to prove his manhood—venture in search of a mysterious beast. Most of them are strangers, each on the odyssey for a private and secret reason, and thoroughly prepared for the demands of the rugged wilderness. However, inexplicable defilement, savagery, and bloodletting begin to occur among them. Far beyond their fearful imaginings about the creature they hunted, they slowly discover that the darkest side of human nature comes to light as they confront the beastlike violence and lust that exists deep within themselves.
