Sharyn McCrumb
Sharyn McCrumb (born Sharyn Elaine Arwood) is an American novelist known for her Ballad novels that celebrate the history, folklore, and people of Appalachia. Her work blends historical research, regional folklore, and mystery elements; she is a New York Times bestselling author and recipient of numerous honors for Southern literature and mystery writing. McCrumb lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
