Xochitl Gonzalez is an American novelist and staff writer for The Atlantic. She is the New York Times bestselling author of Olga Dies Dreaming and Anita de Monte Laughs Last (a Reese's Book Club pick). A native Brooklynite and public school graduate, Gonzalez holds a BA from Brown University and an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She was a 2023 Pulitzer Prize finalist for Commentary and has received several literary awards and recognitions.
