Gabriela Garcia is a fiction writer and poet, best known for her debut novel, 'Of Women and Salt'. She is the daughter of immigrants from Cuba and Mexico, raised in Miami, and currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before focusing on her writing career, she worked as a feminist and migrant rights organizer. She holds an MFA in fiction from Purdue University and a BA in Sociology and Media Studies from Fordham University.
