Michael Slade

Michael Slade is the primary pen name of Canadian author and trial lawyer Jay Clarke (often writing with collaborators, including daughter Rebecca Clarke). Drawing on a legal career that included work on more than 100 murder cases and consultations with police, Slade is best known for the Special X series—gritty police procedurals with strong horror and psychological-thriller elements.
