
M. W. Craven
M. W. Craven is an English crime writer known for his Washington Poe and DI Avison Fluke series. He joined the British Army at 16, served for 10 years, and then pursued a degree in social work, specializing in criminology and psychology. He worked as a probation officer for 16 years before becoming a full-time author. His novels are often set in Cumbria and have been translated into numerous languages. Craven's work has received critical acclaim and numerous awards, including the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger and the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year.
