Alex Norman Berenson (born January 6, 1973) is an American author and former New York Times reporter. He is best known for his John Wells spy-thriller series (winner of the 2007 Edgar Award for Best First Novel) and for nonfiction books on public policy and health topics. Berenson has drawn widespread attention and controversy for his commentary on cannabis and for his vocal criticism of mainstream COVID-19 policies.
