K. D. Wentworth

Kathy Diane Wentworth (known professionally as K. D. Wentworth) was an American author of science fiction and fantasy. A University of Tulsa graduate, she began publishing in the late 1980s after winning the Writers of the Future contest. She published novels and numerous short stories, received multiple Nebula Award nominations, served two terms as secretary of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, and was editor of the Writers of the Future anthology series from 2009 until her death in 2012.
