W. Bruce Cameron is an American author, columnist, humorist, and screenwriter best known for his bestselling dog-centered novels such as A Dog's Purpose, A Dog's Journey, and A Dog's Way Home. He began his career as a syndicated humor columnist and later published a string of popular novels and children's books; several of his works have been adapted for film. He is active in animal-rescue fundraising and lives in California.
