Dave Barry
Dave Barry is an American humorist and author, best known for his nationally syndicated humor column for The Miami Herald from 1983 to 2005. His work is characterized by a silly, self-deprecating, yet incisive style, often featuring absurd stories and commentary on everyday life, family, politics, and the peculiarities of Miami. Barry's columns inspired the TV sitcom "Dave's World" and he has written or co-authored numerous bestselling books, including collections of his columns, humor books, and novels. He received the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1988 and the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism in 2005.
