Terry Deary

Terry Deary is a prolific British author, actor, and former teacher, best known for his internationally successful 'Horrible Histories' series, which uses humor and gory details to make history engaging for children. Born in Sunderland, he worked as a butcher's boy and in theatre before becoming a full-time writer. He has authored over 350 books, including historical fiction and, more recently, crime fiction for adults.
