Peter Bently

Peter Bently is a British children's author known for his rhyming picture books. Born in 1960 in Tidworth, Hampshire, he grew up in various locations due to his father's career as an army bandmaster. He studied languages at Oxford University and worked as a journalist and editor before focusing on writing for children. He has published over seventy titles and has received numerous awards, including the Roald Dahl Funny Prize.
