Kate Heartfield
Kate Heartfield is a Canadian author of historical fantasy and speculative fiction. A former newspaper editor and columnist in Ottawa, she has written novels, novellas and interactive fiction, including The Embroidered Book, The Valkyrie, The Tapestry of Time, the Alice Payne novellas, and tie-in novels for Assassin's Creed. Her work has been shortlisted for and won multiple awards, including several Aurora Awards; she is also a co-winner of the Nebula Award for Game Writing. She lives near Ottawa, Canada.
