Eric Flint

Eric Flint (1947–2022) was an American author, editor, and e-publisher best known as the creator of the Ring of Fire (1632) alternate-history series. He wrote numerous novels and collaborations in science fiction and alternate history, edited Jim Baen's Universe, and helped develop and support the 1632 shared-universe community and related anthologies and magazines. Before his writing career he worked as a labor organizer and in a variety of blue-collar jobs.
