Stefan Bachmann

Stefan Bachmann is a Swiss–American author of children's and young adult fiction, short stories, and non-fiction. Born in Boulder, Colorado and raised in Switzerland, he studied music composition and theory at the Zurich University of the Arts. His debut novel, The Peculiar, was published when he was nineteen and received international recognition. Bachmann's work often blends historical settings, gothic atmosphere, and fantastical elements; he is also active in literacy and writing education initiatives in Switzerland.
