John Philip Newell (born 1953) is an internationally known Celtic teacher, author, and spiritual leader whose work focuses on Celtic wisdom, earth spirituality, and the integration of faith and ecology. Born in Canada and long based in Scotland (Findhorn community), he has written widely read books including Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul; Listening for the Heartbeat of God; and A New Harmony. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and leads retreats, lectures, and pilgrimages on topics of spirituality, reconciliation, and care for the earth.
