David Day

David Day is a Canadian author and poet born in Victoria, British Columbia, in 1947. He is best known for his extensive body of work on J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, as well as his books on natural history, ecology, mythology, and children's literature. Having published over 40 books, his work has been translated into 20 languages and sold millions of copies worldwide. He is a graduate of the University of Victoria and has lived in various locations including Canada, England, Spain, and Greece.
